Topic: Empower your non-IT team: practices, barriers and common mistakes
Description: Delegation is a direct way to enhancing results and team autonomy. According to famous Daniel Pink’s book “Drive”, autonomy and ability to make independent decisions are significant factors in internal motivation of professionals.
But why do so few managers achieve autonomy in their teams? In the workshop, I will share my experience with delegation practices in a chemical laboratory: the mistakes and barriers I encountered, and how I overcame them. I will also explain how delegation practices helped us overcame an existential funding crisis.
In an interactive format, we will explore the “Empower team” practice from Management 3.0 for non-IT teams that have never heard of Agile. We will discuss common mistakes and barriers that hinder the achievement of greater autonomy.
